KwaZulu-Natal police arrested four people in connection with the deaths of two foreign nationals who jumped from a Durban building earlier this month, a spokesperson reported on Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent Jay Naicker said the four men, aged between 23 and 54, would appear in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Tuesday. "We arrested four people this weekend in the Albert Park area. We are expecting to arrest another six soon," said Naicker. "They face charges of public violence, conspiracy to commit murder, malicious damage to property, two counts of murder and a count of attempted murder." The two men ? from Zimbabwe and Tanzania ? fell to their deaths from a high-rise building in Durban in the first week of January when they tried to escape a 150-strong mob wielding bush knives. Victor Zowa (25) and Omar Said (24) were confirmed dead while a 23-year-old Mozambican, who was also forced to jump from a window in the building, survived but was seriously injured.
