Drug-related charges against 15 South African Airways crew members arrested in London in February have been dropped by British authorities, the airline said on Thursday.

"... No charges will be brought against any of them," said spokesperson Sarah Uys in an e-mailed response to Sapa queries.

The 15 were due to appear in court in London on Thursday.

They were apprehended when 50kg of dagga and cocaine was allegedly found among their bags.

Crew members from a separate 9 January drug bust are due back in court on 15 July.
