A Johannesburg security guard has described how he was kidnapped and raped at gunpoint by two women who asked for directions.

He said he was stopped while walking to a taxi rank in Lonehill, in northern Johannesburg, by women who were driving a black Toyota Tazz with no registration plates last week.

The pair then forced the 31-year-old into the boot of the vehicle and drove to an undisclosed location where he was forced to have sex with them.

The man, who wants to remain anonymous, said he was held hostage for eight hours and was then left on the side of William Nicol Drive.

The police's Balam Muthan confirmed a case had been opened.
