Two men were arrested for allegedly robbing a Pep store in the Johannesburg CBD, police said on Thursday.

Inspector Xoli Mbele said the two and another accomplice entered the store on Wednesday and demanded money without producing a firearm. They then fled the scene on foot.

Police were notified about the robbery and they arrested the two men aged 21 and 26 at the corner of Bree and Simmonds streets.

The third man was still at large and the money was not recovered.

The two arrested would face a charge of business robbery in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court.
