President-in-waiting Jacob Zuma will travel to the Eastern Cape on Wednesday to address workers.
It comes as the African National Congress' national executive meeting, that should decide who the premiers of the eight provinces will be, will only be held on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Zuma was making his transition from party political leader to president of the republic.
Communications expert Clive Simpkins has scrutinised Zuma, adding there were some things the president-elect should change.
"He needs to have somebody assisting him with how he is managing the media and managing his speechmaking. I heard him doing his acceptance speech, it was extremely hesitant and he sounded very tired," Simpkins advised.
Got something to say?
