Two masked armed thieves who robbed a shop in Germany over the weekend got away with a disappointing booty: one pink piggy bank containing 20 euro cents ($0.26) and two bars of chocolate.
Police in the western German city of Duesseldorf said the two robbers fled in panic when the alarm was raised, managing only to grab what was to hand.
Mass circulation Bild quoted the shopkeeper Mehdi Eghbali as saying: "There was 20 cents in the piggy bank and the chocolate bars cost 1.20 euros each. Total 2.60 euros."
The paper also quoted police spokesman Andre Hartwich as saying: "The way they acted has prompted the suspicion that these were not professional thieves."
Authorities are appealing for eyewitnesses.
