In Africa, where the ruling party appoints all government officials, we end up with dictatorships which are all about enriching the politicians lives and nothing to do with improving the lives of the citizens who put them in power.<br /><br />In countries like the US, you have a true democracy where the electorate vote for the people they want in the government positions - a much more sensible and just way of doing things.<br /><br />I will vote COPE or DA next year and hope that many South Africans will finally use their vote to do themselves some good and do the same thing - no more absolutre power for the ANC means a better lifestyle and a definite improvement for the people of our country..
