It is clear that after their own interest ant that of their cronies, the ANC still put their party ahead of truth decency, ethics and morality.  Someone in Zuma's position in a civilised country would have said lets have everything in the open, but he uses every legal trick in the book to keep things from coming out and then the ANC thinks he is the person to lead the country.  In civilised countries leaders have to choose between using their legal rights to prevent them from being found guilty on technicalities and letting everything come out to show that they are squeaky clean.
