Obama for president?
"); document.write("It comes as little surprise that Powell supports his black brother. Unfortunately, racism is alive and well in the good old US. The white majority will decide eventually. Why do mixed races in the US always identify themselves as \"black\"? Even a touch of the tar brush makes them \"black\". For all we know, we are probably all \"black\". Viva the green people.. Ignorance
"); document.write("David should refrain from showing his ignorance of American politics by publicly embarrassing himself and white South Africans with his naive comments. If he were following the US election he would know that Barak Obama has yet to make one utterance regarding race, and has proved that he is able to rise above the race issue, something David appears not to have. Blacks reperesent a fraction of the American population, yet Obama enjoys a 10% lead in the polls. That shows that Americans have matured as a multi-ethnic nation. If David cared to take a little more time to follow world events, he would know that Obama represents a beacon of hope for the whole world, who by his example will see that they too have the ability to succeed if they are able to remove the chip from their shoulders and rise above their racial prejudices.. Ignorance?
"); document.write("Hey..... where's all this aggression and assumption of ignorance come from? I also hope that Obama becomes the next president of the US. Unfortunately, as in the previous election, when it appeared that Bush was to be ousted, the American system subjected us to another four years.

Living in the Middle East, I probably speak politics with more Americans than most. Before the last election, not one supported Bush until it came to actually voting.

For info, I have travelled to the US many times and I am following this election. What seems strange to me though is how Powell has flip flopped from his opinions regarding the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In my lifetime, I doubt that there will ever be a woman, a latino, a \"black\" or even a gay American president. This has got nothing to do with me, the fact that I am a South African or by someone reading between the lines of a web posting. The American people will decide and based on previous elections, ....... lets wait and see if I am right.. David"); document.write("
