It is still early days, as they say, but at present with the political scene so volatile and the election just around the corner, a few hours can be a long time now in SA politics. Two things are for certain and those are that people are gaining more hope for a brighter future in SA but above all people need reliable information to be able to draw conclusions.  This is where the news media, each one within its own perspective, will play a major role.  As far as the SABC is concerned it REALLY owes the people the opportunity to hear in a fair manner what the various political parties want to tell the voters.
