Time & time again S.A. has hosted controversial politicians/statements men and that’s never detoured anyone from allowing them to come-address whatever issues-and leave without making headlines for all their misappropriate conduct in the past.

I agree that just because a cadre was instrumental in the fight for freedom that they should not now abuse their position of influence. Unfortunately, like ALL parties, the ANC cant guarantee 100% that all members who join or participate in the movement always come with the best interest or that they will even end off with the best interests for the bettering of the people. The ANC expects that all will comply with the code of conduct and ethics set and have since been positively modified since inception 1912.
Regarding the ‘rape’, I believe people should stop being hypocrites and RESPECT and ACCEPT the outcome of the judiciary regardless whether they agree or not. You cant cut your cake and eat it……All citizens are innocent until proven guilty, you and I included and I’m pretty certain everyone would feel a sense of injustice if they were to be acquitted by the court of law but remain judged by the man on the street.

I’m guessing that some of you, once having read this (probably for the first time), will feel so compelled to point out when, where & how the ANC have not fully complied with these. Don’t bother we’ve all heard it before and often get to read about it in the newspapers, the same newspapers you all read as gospel. My challenge though is, state what the ‘government’ has done well and compliment them on their efforts and then sate where the ‘government’ has failed horribly and offer constructive suggestions on how to improve these.
Note how I’ve stated ‘government’ and not ANC, because despite the ANC being in the drivers seat there are ‘passengers who are travelling on the same bus’ from other political parties, be it at provincial, local and municipality level. But because their not driving this bus, they feel they are not accountable so they can just point fingers at the driver (ANC) hoping that things will get worse. And then they can take up the opportunity to tell us ‘But I told you so’.
Accountability doesn’t start when you are in the driving seat. I’ll be the first to admit that the ANC is not thee PERFECT party, but then again the ANC has never claimed to be. All the ANC can do is to address what matters to the masses, which is as a result of the injustice committed for more than 100 years before liberation.
