"); document.write("Dont you all think it's time to close the boarders of zim, send in all available troops and take Mugabe and his polise and his army out off the equasion.. Faan"); document.write("
DOOMSDAY!!!!
"); document.write("I love the movie Doomsday. Maybe it is time to put a wall around the country and just forget about the place and then go back in 30 years to see what can be done.. Evil, I know but Zim is a lost cause!"); document.write("
How typical.....
"); document.write("Rhodesia was beautiful. Zimbabwe tried to make that \"e-Rhodesia\" and look at the result! Now in true Afro-Democratic style, they sink to their knee's and beg for a hand out. Too proud to keep things as it were. Too proud to admit that a white government knew what it was doing. Too proud to accept outside help. Too stuborn to tolerate the opposition. Now the country is being reduced to another Africant statistic.

Well done mumparra's!!! You deserve it for voting for Mugabe. You got exactly what you deserve.. Thinker"); document.write("

Cholera outbreak in Zim
"); document.write("I think this is an opportunity for South Africa and other countries to use to forcefully remove Mugabe as he is the cause of all this mess. i do not hear any country commenting about the removal of Mugabe, or all state leaders are blind like our former state president who did not see any crisis in Zim. It is high time for all neighboring counties to stand up and revolt against Mugabe government before we are all affected by this pandemic. No help should be given to Zimbabwe till Mugabe and Zanu-FP step down, but i am worried by the lives of the people especially those who voted MDC. MDC supporters are the ones i feel sorry for than the ones who voted for Mugabe as they are now tasting their own medicine, but they are all human beings and their eyes should open by now and see that Mugabe is no human being, but a wild animal who is selfish and only cares for himself.. Thobile"); document.write("
Please help these people
"); document.write("I understand those with \"I told you so\" attitudes. I guess you are right. But the Zim people I have met have been open, honest, loving people. As usual the man in the street pays the price for bad leadership. Maybe the world will wake up to the fact that Mugabe needs to be removed by force - but in the meanwhile we really need to help these suffering people. Lets show some compassion and not make everything a political game. THEY NEED OUR HELP. And as usual the world turns its back on a Africa crisis!. Alan - Cape Town"); document.write("
Zim Crisis
"); document.write("ALAN?!!! I'M SORRY BUT 'ZIMBABWE' SHOULD HAVE HELPED ITSELF OUT OF THE SITUATION ITS IN. AND SOUTH AFRICA SHOULD HAVE STEPPED IN ALOT SOONER! QUIET DIPLOMACY CERTAINLY DIDN'T WORK DID IT? I'm not sure what you mean by 'the world'. The UK and US have time and time again warned SA and ZIM on what could happen there, and they've been told to mind there own business by Africa. As far as I'm concerned this is now an issue for SA to deal with....after all, Cholera has now spread into its borders. I only hope and pray SA can 'work it out'. Stu"); document.write("
World turnes It's Back On Zimababwe
"); document.write("South Africa, SADC and the African Union told the west to butt out and to let Africa resolve this. The 2004 Elections were already rigged and Mugabe promised to step down after that term to keep the AU / SADC quiet. No one to blame, but our own Government's election monitors, back in 2004, who were only foreign Election Monitors to say that the elections were fair and free.. L_M"); document.write("
African Democracy : One man, one vote, once!
"); document.write("Mugabe is a despot - remove him at once. You do not negotiate with despots! Who of our African Leaders, under the SADC is prepared to make a stand on this! This reflects extremely badly on African leadership. Mbeki's attempts have been an abject failure at best and can be construed as aiding and abetting Mugabe's regime at worst.

As long as Mugabe is in power, people will continue to die, whether it be from poverty, lack of health care (cholera, aids etc) or goverment sponsored political violence.

The only good that can come out of this tragic debacle is a model of how not to do things. Maybe in years to come, Zimbabwe will be used as a case study in learning institutions. This, however will provide little solice for the man in the street!. Julian"); document.write("
Sad but true
"); document.write("Way back when ..... those who loved Africa and raised the alarm when Mugabe kicked farmers off their lands were pilloried for raising their voices. You see they were white, so they had to be racist and therefore wrong. Eish! - how do we now explain that the principal of taking what is not yours is the start of a long (made even longer by quiet diplomacy) slippery slope to hell. Back in the evil days when whitey told the world that sanctions on South Africa would harm the man in the street the most we told them it was worth it. When the same arguments are brought up concerning sanctions on Zim, why are we now being told the opposite? Lets go the sanctions route and end it all quickly.

Oh, by the way do you think that by African definition Obama is a settler in the USA?. Maharg"); document.write("
CapeTown....
"); document.write("One feels for the average Zimbabwean or any other countryman where the country is chaos and the people are suffering.

However in Zim's case, helping such people while Mugapie is STILL holding onto his power is NOT an option. It will only serve to keep him there till he dies or is replaced by a puppet he can manipulate.

Lets face it, what happens in Zim severely affects the ZAR and our own average Joe. We must put our peoples needs before that of Mugapie. Thats his job to do. If he can't, he must quit before expecting foreign aid. Frankly aside from SA under Mbeki, nobody wants to touch Zim with a ten foot pole!. Thinker"); document.write("
