document.write("In SA, we say things like \"vet-O's, charr-ou's, bruin-ou's or darky-ou's. None of that is insulting it's just a slang reference to a friend, a person we know. While it's true that to be politically correct one should not be defined by creed or colour, the truth is that the apartheid times have  resulted in some slangs that are used, tolerated and not really intended to hurt anybody.<br /><br />I have friends who are black. I am not black. Yet we can say \"whats up ######\" in the privacy of our office, our car or at our canteen table in a friendly way. Ofcourse if we don't somebody we don't expect them to call us that and nor do we use that on them.
