Maturity
");
document.write("The selection of Dandala certainly shows maturity on the part of COPE. And we definitely do need a leader with moral standards superior to the ANC's man - that's for sure. Our problem in SA is the mass of uneducated voters who continue to vote for a party that has had 15 years to get its act together, and still has delivered miserably, whilst enriching itself at the hands of the poor. When will we mature, and vote capable, honest people into public office?. alan");

Rev Dandala I hope you become a important man in my SA and if everything for you to become the leader of this country.You are the person the West will look up to, not like the JZ's and Malema's.
Amagine a coalition government after 22 Apr with COPE, DA, ID ect and believe me it can happen if the vast majority of the electroate dont still vote for liberation but for a BETTER SA. Koos");

document.write("While Rev Dandala may be a moral man, who has a lot to offer, I don't believe that he will do well in the cut-throat world of politics.
COPE is an untried entity, and now they have an untried and unknown leader too. When the time comes to make your X, how many people will choose to support someone they've only heard of for the first time 6 weeks before the election?
I think COPE have made a mistake with this selection, and will lose some of their support base as a result.
Our best bet is still a DA vote, they are a tried and tested opposition with a leader who has proven that she can take the political heat and can also lead well, with strong moral fibre.. Fiona");

I have no doubt all good south africans want an accountable, educated, moral leader who can turn things around, his personal religious beliefs have nothing to do with it, and I think it is a brilliant strategy if they are trying to establish an anti-zuma strategy. I will definitely support him.. chris");
document.write("Maybe I'll change my vote

document.write("I think when I look at the blind support that the ANC get from the uneducated majority of our country, the hopes of parties like the DA and ID etc look so slim. But here is a candidate with a Masters degree, versus one who doesnt even had a matric. This guy represents everything that Zuma doesnt and like many others have said, even though I'd usually vote for the DA, I might just vote for this man instead to bolster his chances of getting into office. He is the strongest of all contenders to the throne I'd say, by virtue of COPE being \"the new ANC\" and id much rather see this guy in power than Zuma.. Mark");
document.write("Dandala's faith
");
document.write("The journalist, typical of South African journalists, has no understanding of faith. She understands that Dandala's faith has helped make him a better man. But then she wants COPE to persuade the electorate that Bp Dandala's faith will not influence his political decisions. That's schizophrenic. If his faith makes him a better man then his faith will make him a better politician as it will give him a servant heart, restrain tendencies to greed and corruption, give him a love for people, a compassionate heart, a listening ear, a sense of justice, moral values and so on. The Christian faith is a world view with a set of values that informs political, social & economic decision-making. The ANC lacks that Christian worldview and is floundering morally. One sincerely hopes that Bp Dandala's faith does influence his decision-making. If it does not then some other faith like humanistic secularism will inform his decision-making. Some faith or worldview informs all our decision-making. I'd far rather have a Christian worldview inform decision-making than secular humanism. Our secular journalists want us to keep our faith private while they tout their secular faith publically. Why must our worldview be private and theirs public? That is just plain intolerance of the worldviews of others. Rather than hide our beliefs or pretend we have none we must be transparent about what we believe. We all act in terms of our beliefs. If Bp Dandala does not act and decide in terms of his Christian beliefs then he will be either schizophrenic (acting as a Christian in private and as a humanist & non-Christian in public) or not really Christian at all. A Christian confesses Jesus is Lord/King and submits to Jesus'kingship in every area of life, including the political and economic.. John Child");

");
document.write("The most important part of a man is his beliefs. His beliefs will dictate his actions. A Christian belief in goodness over badness is something we can understand and support even if we do not have religous beliefs. Being untained by political corruption and following a higher path is exactly what the poor in South Africa should be looking for in a leader.
