document.write("The problem with transportation in Africa is that it is dominated by taxi warlords who are a rule onto themselves. They do not care about their passengers, the other road users and the laws of the land. Public transportation only works when everyone plays by the rules of the game. Once Africa appreciates this then we may see some progress. I have seen public transport in Lagos, Accra, Abidjan and of course South Africa. Taxi's are the predominant mode with the consequent dissasterous impact! The only reason people use taxis is because there is no other alternative. Once the BRT is in place I hope we see a civilised urban transport system that is enjoyed by all and work well. Then the scourge of the taxi drivers will be a thing of the past hopefully and South Africa can teach the rest of Africa how it is done.. John");

If they the taxi drivers turn violent..boolala them with machine gun.
Its better we solve the problem now them live under these warlords for the rest of our lives.

SA is at a crossroads. How we deal with the Taxi problem will be a good yardstick to know if we have the capacity to govern or just a bunch of lame ducks waiting to bend over at the first sign of conflict.. Thinker");
