document.write("Zapiro is a pleasant enough chap, but he is NOT a good, let alone great cartoonist or satirist. To be one of those, demands more than a Don Quixote who can draw well. Great political cartoonists have a magic mix of wit, passion, nuance, maturity and unshakeable faith in humanity in even the darkest times. Zapiro has none of these. He is crass, bitter and confused. His main agenda is to shock and offend. Maybe that's what similarly embittered south africans like to see in his cartoons - but it is not clever, and it is not funny.. Diablo");

He has a rare talent of portraying his view on life through coloured drawings, it's phenomenal.<br /><br />Also, what most people don't realise is that he doesn't actually profess to be a Political Cartoonist, which you can plainly see from his second, cuter comic called The Biggish Five.<br /><br />I'm a life long and loyal fan, and personally I'd love to see him get to no.1 in South Africa and more known internationally, his hard work certainly deserves it.<br /><br />So does his parrot, Toto, who apparently writes all of his material..
