Really ??
"); document.write("Well in the real world, business actually needs actual experienced people to do the work otherwise there is no business, and hence no jobs for anyone.
Now if we read all the news will also see that the skilled and educated SA's are leaving in large numbers, and the country needs them back.
So whats the point of forcing the quota issue ??? It does not work, did not in Zim, or elsewhere in Africa, so get a grip. steve"); document.write("
CULTURE OF DODGING WORK, EFFORT & RESPONSIBILITIES
"); document.write("Being in the employment industry myself, I have to comment on the ability of people to keep the employment they might get. Black people are not brought up with a long-term view or focus. They are interested in the here & now only, how to get to a certain level of lifestyle instantly or as fast as possible(thanks to cheap & empty examples in media/advertising/comrades in government who seem to have all the luxuries in life(and more, when taxpayers money is taken/used/abused unauthorised), without dong much work for it. They have little work ethic or passion to work hard and they try to make maximum use of compasonate & sick leave and any other benefits of employment as quick as possible - no doubt their comrades in government also lead vigorously by way of example. If the job gets too tough, they disappear for days on end and pitch out of the blue, expecting the employer to take them back without any questions asked...once again comrades in government lead this example passionately. AN ECONOMY CAN NOT BE BUILT ON \"I WILL WORK WHEN IT SUITES ME\" OR \"WHEN IT IS PAYDAY\". A STRONG ECONOMY CAN ONLY BE BUILT ON JOBS THAT ACTUALLY GET DONE, SUCCESSFULLY & ADDING VALUE, NOT THE FACE-BUYING & WINDOW DRESSING THAT QUOTAS EXPECT & CREATE. . JOE"); document.write("
CULTURE OF NOT TAKING CARE OF YOUR OWN
"); document.write("In reading the other articles on iafrica.com, in particular the article where many children are taken from their parents due to \"Alcohol and substance abuse by primary care-givers... which is a major problem within our communities,\" says Dr Mokhantso Makoae and also maltreatment & neglect of children. It stands out like an Idi-Amin in Africa, that there is also a culture in South Africa of note looking after your own, be it wife, children, parents, etc. If the government takes care of my dependants, why do I have to work hard to keep my job. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately Whites don't have someone taking care of their own & thus they have to work hard to do so & work even harder to ensure they are assured of a future job to continue to be able to do so! There in no child grant/old age grant/disability grant/'sleg worker' grant/'hectic drinker' grant for the whites.... JOE"); document.write("
CULTURE OF DRINKING & BAD EXAMPLE
"); document.write("The Government repeatedly states: \"The Eastern Cape is the poorest Province in SA\" THIS IS UTTER NONSENSE!!! The Statistic should rather read:\"The Eastern Cape has the highest rate of Alcoholic Drinkers in SA\". If all the alcoholic beverages that are consumed in the Eastern Cape can be stopped overnight, the Eastern Cape will be the 3rd wealthiest province in the country!!! This brings the next question: Why would government allow & encourage their own to continuously drink themselves paralytic, particularly in their politically stronghold area: the EC - because then none of their followers will ask questions when they behave without self-respect, self discipline & self-governance. This brings me to the workplace: If my elders show examples of no self-respect, no self discipline & no self-governance, then why should I. I will do as little as possible for as much as possible in return - this is called milking the system and our Zanu PF comrades in Zimbabwe for the last 20 years have been a shining example of \"milking the system\". Ooops, it might mean that I might loose my job in the process, but then again, who cares...there's another advert for a BEE post.... Jack"); document.write("

Joe
"); document.write("I take exception to Joe's comments about black people. While some of what he says may be true (to some extent!), it is a gross & unfair generalization to see all black people in this light. I, for one, had to apply for my job, take out a student loan to complete my studies, etc. Yes I wnat a better life (than the one my parents had to endure!) and there is nothing wrong in people wanting a better life. People like you are partly to blame for seeing yourselves as better and making black people think that they should have what you have, that that is the measure of success! . ANC sponsored racism
"); document.write("The most public overt racism in the country today comes almost entirely from ANC and its cohorts in the ANCYL & COSATU. If you ever disagree with their pronouncements, or in many cases, their diktats, then you are automatically accused of racism.

Transformation is essential & will be ongoing for a long time yet .. I would doubt the Government's capability to really judge the how well it is going by focusing on stats from just a few major companies, but that is just my opinion.

I really hate the way that the politicos abuse this type of information to paint us all the same, though. Institutionalized racism is a much abused term & was entirely created by politicians to serve their own limited, short-term objectives.

Otherwise, I entirely agree with GG.
