Every single member of a town's police force has quit after winning over R120-million in the lottery.

All 15 officers in the town of Budaors in Hungary handed in their immediate resignations when they won the jackpot.

The win was the sixth largest ever in the Hungarian lottery, reported the Daily Telegraph.

The country's police chiefs were forced to send back-up to the area until new officers are hired.
