The court case of a 29-year-old man who allegedly raped a number of women after promising them modelling jobs, was postponed in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, the SABC reported.

Preneshen Pillay was arrested in Sandton this month after allegedly raping a 23-year-old woman last month at a lodge in Rivonia.

The woman responded to an advertisement that the man had allegedly placed on the websites Deviantart.com and epnetwork.co.za.

Under a false name, he allegedly lured women who wanted to become models.

Once they responded to the advert, he would arrange to meet and interview them.

After interviewing them he would allegedly take them to a nearby lodge claiming to determine if they qualified for modelling.

When the victims would enter the lodge the suspect would force himself on the victim and then take their belongings, like cellphones and cash.

He would then leave them stranded and flee the scene.
