A 54-year-old Lamborghini driver paid a fine of R10 000 at the Krugersdorp Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
The man, Steven Tsai, was caught driving at 186km/h on N14 south near the Jukskei River on Wednesday last week, said Johannesburg Metro police spokesperson Wayne Minnaar.
"He told police he had never been arrested for speeding and was happy it was now all over."
According to Minnaar the man owns a fleet of Lamborghinis and Porsches.
