The families of two men who were killed in an accident in protest-hit Vuwani have expressed that demonstrations in the Limpopo town need to stop before any more lives are lost.
The vehicle the men were travelling in hit a pipe which was being used to barricade the main road on Tuesday night.
A third person who was also in the car is believed to be in a critical condition in hospital.
Residents are once again demonstrating over demarcation issues.
Portia Mkhabela says protests in the area need to stop before more people are killed.
“If they have a problem, they have to face the reality of the problem instead of closing the road.”
Her brother Glen Chauke was one of the two men who burnt to death in the car accident on Tuesday night.
She says her family has now lost a provider.
“He was the one who took care of the mother because the parents passed away.”
Mkhabela says her family has reacted with shock to Chauke's untimely death, and don’t know how they'll survive without their breadwinner.
Police reinforcements have been deployed to the troubled town, with officers visible at most.
