At least four people have died and nearly 300 people have been displaced in separate fires in Cape Town over the weekend.
Nearly 300 structures have also been destroyed.
On Friday evening, a fire gutted six structures in the Nomzamo informal settlement near the Strand, killing one person and leaving 16 homeless.
The following evening firefighters returned to the area to battle yet another blaze which destroyed 25 structures, displacing more than 60 people.
Also on Saturday, a woman and child died after a fire gutted their second-floor apartment in Hanover Park. Three others were rushed to hospital for treatment.
In Ikwezi Park in Khayelitsha, a fourth person lost his life after he sustained burn wounds.
On the same night, a further 220 people were left homeless after flames swept through informal settlements in Wallacedene and Phillipi.
The City's Fire and Rescue says none of the causes of the incidents have been established.
