The EFF is expected to appear before the Constitutional Court (ConCourt) today to present their bid to have President Jacob Zuma face impeachment proceedings in the National Assembly.
Following the ANC’s victory in the no-confidence vote and the DA’s failure to dissolve parliament, the EFF, UDM and COPE have chosen to keep the pressure up on the ANC’s number one.
The DA has filed to become an intervening party in the matter, following suit after the UDM and COPE.
Last month, Zuma survived an eighth attempt to have him removed from office through a vote of no confidence.
The EFF wants the Constitutional Court to compel Speaker of Parliament Baleka Mbete to initiate impeachment proceedings against Zuma.
