Following the suspension of its CFO Anoj Singh, Eskom acting chair Zethembe Khoza has announced that a further 3 executives have been removed due to their involvement with Gupta-linked Trillian and the McKinsey consultancy firm.
Prish Govender, Charles Kalima and Edwin Mabelane have been suspended in light of their involvement with the Gupta-linked Trillian, according to the acting chair.
While Singh was pushed into special leave while awaiting the result of an ongoing investigation into his ties to Trillian and the Gupta family, the other three have been suspended immediately without much of a buffer.
The utility will again find itself with vacancies at an executive level.
This year Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown approved the appointment of 9 new executive roles in hopes of setting up an accountable group at the helm of the power provider.
