President Jacob Zuma has extended his condolences to the family of late freedom Fighter Eddie Daniels.
The former Robben Island prisoner passed away at the age of 89.
Daniels was an activist and spent 15 years in prison for his contribution to South Africa’s liberation struggle.
Zuma says his thoughts and prayers are with the Daniels’ family.
The presidency's Bongani Ngqulunga said: “President Zuma has expressed deep sadness and extended his condolences to the family on the passing of the liberation struggle veteran and former Robben Island prisoner, Mr Daniels.”
