President Kgalema Motlanthe will attend a meeting in Swaziland on Monday that is expected to be briefed by ex-president Thabo Mbeki.

A South African Foreign Affairs Department statement on Sunday said Mbeki was expected to brief the meeting on his Zimbabwean mediation efforts.

The Sadc Organ Troika meeting, in Mbabane, had been convened by King Mswati III.

It would receive and deliberate upon reports on Zimbabwe, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Lesotho.
