The African National Congress Youth League on Thursday instructed its members not to attend the Sandton convention organised by ANC dissidents.

"All disciplined and genuine members of the ANCYL will not be attending the Convention of liars, dissidents and angry people," the league said in a statement.

It said its members who attended the convention would be subjected to a disciplinary process.

The convention is being organised by former ANC chairman Terror Lekota.

The convention will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
