The Boksburg area will experience water cuts on Thursday evening, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality said on Monday.

Municipal spokesperson Zweli Dlamini advised residents in the Boksburg area to make provisions for emergency water supply, due to a planned supply interruption schedule for Thursday 13 November from 7pm until midnight.

"The work is scheduled to take place at night to minimise the impact the maintenance work might have to our customers," said Dlamini.

The residential areas expected to be affected by the maintenance are: Witfield, Lillianton, Dayan Glen, Morgan Ridge, Rosedene, Delmore and Delmore Gardens.

Customers would either experience low pressure or have no water during the interruptions and were urged by the municipality to keep all taps closed throughout the night.

The municipality apologised for any inconvenience that might be caused — however, it believed that the water cuts would lead to better service delivery.
