Heavy rains are expected in Gauteng for the next two days, the SA Weather Service said on Tuesday.

"The rain is not unusual for this time of the year, as this is a normal rainfall season," said forecaster Ezekiel Sebego.

He it had rained on and off on Tuesday and 60 percent of rain was expected to return later at about 4pm to 5pm.

"It could rain the entire night as heavy rains are expected for Wednesday and Thursday."

He said in those two days, 80 percent of rain was expected.

It would be partly cloudy with good rains of about 30 percent on Friday.

The sun was expected to come out on Saturday and Sunday in Gauteng.

Heavy rains were also expected for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast, Eastern Cape coast, and in the Western Cape.
