The case of a South African man and two Chinese nationals on charges of illegal possession of perlemoen (abalone) was postponed in the Caledon Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
The three men were arrested after Western Cape police found 32 700 dried perlemoen with a street value of around R7.5-million at a farm house outside Riviersonderend, said police spokesperson Inspector Bernadine Steyn. The three are expected to apply for bail on 19 November.
