Six boys were arrested on Wednesday for robbing a child of a cell phone and money using a toy gun, Gauteng police said.
Inspector Moses Maphakela said the boys, two aged 16 and four aged 15, used a toy gun to rob the child at their school in Highlands North in Johannesburg.
They were arrested by police around 1pm on Wednesday at the school.
The boys would be released into the care of their parents and would face charges of armed robbery.
They would appear before the Hillbrow Magistrate's Court soon, said Maphakela.
