Road closure in Gauteng

The Gillooly's interchange by the N3 north split towards Pretoria has been closed off completely until further notice, said Ekurhuleni Metro police on Sunday,

"Due to serious roadworks in the build-up to the 2010 Soccer World Cup, the R24 west by the N3 north split in Gillooly's has been closed off completely," said spokesperson Jimmy Maboko.

"Motorists are advised to use the N3 south and offramp on Van Buren, proceed straight and turn right on Gillooly's onramp and join the N3 north from there."

Maboko said there's going to be major changes to the hairpin bend which at times confuses motorists and causes a lot of traffic.
