The Johannesburg High Court will hand out sentence on Thursday to
12 people involved in the June 2006 Jeppestown massacre, SABC news
reported on Monday.
The court has found that the men were part of a gang who robbed a Pick 'n Pay store in Honeydew and then set an ambush for police at a house in Jeppestown.
Four policemen died and eight robbers were killed during the bloody shoot-out.
The State and defence had completed their arguments for the sentencing hearing, the broadcaster said.
