Four men, aged between 17 and 31, were arrested in Eersterust on Saturday for hijacking, Gauteng police said.

Constable Portia Maleka said the men allegedly hijacked a man at gunpoint in Sunnyside in Pretoria in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The owner reported the hijacking.

Police recovered the vehicle in Eersterust around noon on Saturday and arrested four men in connection with the crime.

The men would appear before the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Monday on charges of car hijacking, said Maleka.
