Some 186 people were arrested in Soweto for various crimes, police said on Sunday.
Inspector Kay Makhubela said the arrests included those of 11 illegal immigrants and 30 drunk drivers who were nabbed during an operation that began on Friday night and ended early on Sunday.
The arrested were expected to appear in the Protea, Roodepoort and Lenasia courts on Monday.
