A family of six — including a seven-month old baby — were burnt todeath in their house near KwaDukuza on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast on Monday, police said.
Superintendent Jay Naicker said the fire broke out at the home in the Congo settlement near Kwadukuza (formerly Stanger) shortly after 1am. The parents and their four children were sleeping in the same room and were unable to escape after the blaze broke out. Officials at the scene did not suspect foul play and believed the fire may have been cause by a stove that had been left on, said Naicker.Sapa
