Twenty new cholera cases have been recorded in Limpopo, SABC news reported on Thursday.
Twelve people fell ill in Botlokwa, five in Dilokong and three in Lekhureng. More than 1500 cholera patients have been treated in Limpopo since November last year.
A further 17 people from the Medupi power station near Lephalale were admitted to a local hospital with cholera-like symptoms.
Provincial health department spokesperson Phuti Seloba was quoted as saying they had diarrhoea and were vomiting. Tests were being conducted to determine whether they had cholera.
