The Eastern Cape delegation of the ANC breakaway group has finalised its interim provincial committee, its deputy co-ordinator Nkosinathi Kuluta said on Thursday.

Andile Nkuhlu, was elected interim provincial chair, with Kuluta as deputy. Interim co-ordinator is Mike Ndube, organiser Siphiwe Ngila, Treasurer Thembelani Nodada, events and logistics co-ordinator Moses Qomoyi and a person identified only as "Voyi".

Media co-ordinator is Nkosifikile Gqamo and sector co-ordinator Sam Kwelita, a former social development MEC.

Kuluta said that former premier Nosimo Balindlela would travel to address ordinary members, and Smuts Ngonyama, former ANC spokesperson, would be "busy with us" once he had finished writing end of year exams.

The list will be ratified at the yet-to-be named movement's launch on 16 December. All were members of the ANC.

Kuluta said the movement's name would not be released until it had been registered with the Independent Electoral Commission.

Their first choice the SA National Convention led to an ANC court case opposing it and the second — the SA Democratic Congress — was already taken.
