Water cuts will take place in Sandton on 27 November from 9am to 4pm, Johannesburg Water said on Wednesday.

The city's water and sanitation provider said the scheduled water disruption was due to an upgrade to the water mains in the area.

Morningside, Sandown, Wierda Valley, Strathavon, Eastgate, and Barlow Park would be affected, Johannesburg Water said.

"We wish to apologise to the residents in affected areas and undertake to have the interruption resolved as soon as possible," it added.
