Two women were raped in separate incidences at the Sicelo squatter camp in Meyerton, police said on Saturday.
Police spokesperson Captain Thivhulawi Tshilati said the incidences happened on Friday night.
In the first case a 19-year-old woman was raped by her former 24-year-old live-in boyfriend.
The man apparently went to his ex-girlfriend's grandmother's house where she was staying and forced her to go with him to his place.
On arrival he locked the house and raped her.
The woman reported the case to the police early this morning.
Police located him shortly afterwards asleep in his house, where he was arrested.
He will face charges of rape and assault in the Meyerton magistrate's court on Monday.
In another incident in Sicelo squatter camp an 18-year-old girl was repeatedly raped by three men, one of whom is known to her.
Tshilati said the woman was at her brother's house with her boyfriend on Friday night when she went out of the yard.
As she entered the street three men grabbed her and took her to an open veld where they raped her repeatedly.
She reported the incident to the police early on Saturday morning.
No arrests have been made. Tshilati said if anyone had any information about the crime they should call crime-line on 086-00-10111 or the Meyerton police at 016-362-0126.
In another incident in Meyerton, a male cyclist in his early twenties was killed in a hit-and-run on Friday night.
The man died on the scene.
Tshilati said police were following a lead they had been given about the vehicle which might have fled the scene.
A case of culpable homicide has been opened.
