A man was fighting for his life in hospital after plunging 15m from a roof in Richard's Bay in KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday, emergency services said.

Netcare?s Chris Botha said: "A man fell off the roof and landed on his head. The roof is 15m high and he suffered serious head injuries.

"Our members put him on a ventilator before taking him to the Bay Hospital.?

The man, believed to be 25-years-old, was repairing a transport company's building, said Botha.
