A man (25) died when the car he was driving overturned and crashed into a bridge in Kameelpoort near KwaMhlanga, Mpumalanga, on Monday.

Police Captain Mamsy Cibe said the accident happened on the R568 at 04.50am.

She said a white Chevrolet sedan was travelling from KwaMhlanga to Kameelpoort when the driver apparently lost control of it.

The man was the only occupant of the vehicle.

"It appeared as if the driver failed to negotiate a curve and this resulted in the car overturning and crashing into the bridge, killing him instantly."
