A vote for the DA was a vote for above average promises and below average delivery, Cope's premiership candidate in the Western Cape, Allan Boesak, said on Sunday.
He said in a statement that Cape Town, ruled by a Democratic Alliance-led coalition, had a spring-cleaned belt of leafy suburbs where most of the DA's supporters lived.
A mere 15 minutes away lay party leader Helen Zille's "true Cape Town".
"A lack of service delivery, rampant crime and in some areas one hasn't enough digits to count the potholes," he said.
"Visit Ravensmead, Khayelitsha, an alphabet soup of suburbs outside the leafy DA areas; even the DA stronghold of Mitchell's Plain.
"Can you see a DA difference? I can't."
Got something to say?
