Another person has died following last week's fire in Paarl that has claimed 10 lives already, the Paarl Media Group said on Thursday.

Spokesperson Nelia Burger said Liezel Jacobs (34) died on Wednesday afternoon. She succumbed to her injuries at the Vincent Palotti hospital in Cape Town.

The fire broke out last Friday at the printing company. Seven bodies were found the same day and another two the following day. A tenth victim, Pieter Saayman, died in the Kuils River Medi-Clinic on Tuesday.

Another victim, 44-year-old Sharon Adonis was still is a critical condition at N1 City hospital.

It was still unknown what caused the fire in the factory.
