ANC president Jacob Zuma will address a post-election celebration party in Johannesburg on Thursday.
"Leaders from the ANC-SACP-Cosatu-Sanco alliance will also address the party," the ANC said in a statement.
It will be held in the Library Gardens, adjacent to ANC headquarters Chief Albert Luthuli House at 5pm.
"The ANC thanks millions of South Africans for casting their vote, giving the ANC a renewed mandate to deliver on key priorities outlined in the election manifesto.
"We would also thank young people for turning up in large numbers [at] the polls. The violence-free and peaceful election is an indication of the deepening of our constitutional democracy."
Members of the public were welcome to attend the celebration.
Motorists were advised that there would be official road closures from 2pm.
Sauer Street would be closed between Commissioner and Jeppe streets, as would President Street between Ntemi Piliso and Anderson streets.
Metro police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said: "Motorists are advised to make use of Bree Street to move from the West to the East of the city centre. They could also use Marshall, Anderson and Fox streets."
He warned motorists to obey metro police officers who would be in the area. Alternatively they should avoid the area.
