Four men were arrested on Wednesday when a stolen car was found being stripped in Roodepoort, west of Johannesburg, Gauteng police said.
Police found the men dismantling a VW Golf 5, reported to have been stolen in Germiston on 4 May, Superintendent Lungelo Dlamini said.
"We followed a tracker signal which lead us to a house in Roodepoort. Here we found guns with thousands of ammunition rounds and car parts."
Police believed that the house was used by a car hijacking syndicate to strip stolen cars.
Got something to say?
