A driver has died after the goods truck he was driving overturned on the M13 Durban bound on Thursday morning, said Netcare 911.

Spokesperson Chris Botha said the truck overturned just past the Everton road bridge around 3am.

He said paramedics found the driver, who died due to severe injuries, trapped inside the mangled wreckage of the truck.

The accident comes after yet another truck went off the M13 down an embankment along the same route on Tuesday night and left its driver and his assistant seriously injured.
