A 27-year-old man was killed after the bakkie he was a passenger in crashed and rolled in Steytlerville in the Karoo on Friday, Eastern Cape police said.
"It is alleged the driver lost control of the bakkie on a turn in the road," said Captain Stefanie Smith.
The accident took place in the early hours of Friday on a gravel road.
The driver and the passenger, Johan van der Watt from Patensie, were returning to their hotel after attending a game hunting meeting on a nearby farm, said Smith.
A case of culpable homicide had been opened.
