The victim said she was also marched for 15 minutes in the city's busy street but she was too scared to scream or run away as her kidnapper had threatened her with a knife.
The victim was one of four women who had accused Mlungisi Msimanga (27) of raping and robbing them.
It was suspected Msimanga chose his victims because he thought they had valuable possessions which he stole from them after the rape.
Msimanga faced six rape charges, as well as three others of aggravated robbery and kidnapping. He allegedly robbed his victims at knife-point and then raped them.
The rapes and robberies all took place in Pietermaritzburg in January and February last year.
The victim on the stand had identified Msimanga as her kidnapper, rapist and aggravated robber at a police identity parade.
Prosecutor Suhana Singh said Msimanga would be proved to be the rapist through his DNA.
Msimanga, however, had entered a not guilty plea and said he had consensual sex with this rape victim.
She vehemently denied this when defence counsel Jac Jordaan put it to her.
The trial would continue on Thursday.
