President Jacob Zuma will meet the Bulls rugby team on
Friday ahead of the Super 14 final this weekend, his office said.
"He just wants to meet with them and say, 'good luck'," said
presidency spokeswoman Zingaphi Jakuja.
Zuma, who has said he enjoys all sports, including rugby, is
meeting the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld stadium at 2pm.
The Bulls are playing against New Zealand's Chiefs on
Saturday, where a capacity 52 000 crowd will watch the match.
The Bulls won the Super 14 series in 2007.
Rugby experts are divided in their predictions over who will win
the match, with some saying the home game will give the Bulls the
edge, while others believe the Chiefs are too strong for the South
African team.
Bulls fans, however ? some who camped overnight in the cold
outside Loftus to secure tickets for the final ? have been gearing
up frantically for the final in the past week.
Beeld's front page on Friday showed a picture of a man painted
in blue and standing in a street in Pretoria, in an attempt to
convince radio station Jacaranda FM to give him a ticket to the
final.
